Pera Museum Hosts Metrum Ensemble Trio+ Concert as Part of 'Calculations and Coincidences' Exhibition

Pera Museum is hosting a special concert by Metrum Ensemble Trio+ as part of the Calculations and Coincidences exhibition. Renowned for uniquely interpreting classical and contemporary works, the ensemble highlights how music incorporates structured and accidental elements, much like visual arts. This exclusive performance will also feature flutist Anna Rákóczy, the daughter of exhibiting artist Gizella Rákóczy.

The concert offers a musical journey from Western Europe to Hungary, inviting listeners to explore compositional marvels from the Renaissance to the present day. The performance will occur on the 4th floor of Pera Museum, in the gallery where the 'Calculations and Coincidences' exhibition is displayed.

Since its debut in 2012, the Metrum Ensemble has been recognized for its distinctive artistic vision and rigorous discipline. It has achieved significant musical milestones and delivered unforgettable performances. Its artistry reflects both a playful spirit and a deep sense of responsibility. Viewing every musical performance as a contemporary creative process, the ensemble members are unafraid to act as “co-authors” of classical works. Their passion for exploring the past allows them to interpret classical masterpieces as if they were being performed for the first time while approaching contemporary music as an ever-evolving phenomenon.

Metrum Ensemble’s ongoing collaboration with contemporary composers has led to over forty world premieres, solidifying its reputation as a pioneer in modern classical music.

Over three intensive days, they examined 18 families, discussed genetic inheritance, and proposed Long Read Sequencing (LRS) for unresolved cases. This visit emphasized the importance of interdisciplinary collaboration in genetic research and provided a valuable model for future engagements.
