Istanbul Research Institute commits itself to support researchers who could expand the literature in the field of Istanbul studies with novel approaches and un-earthed sources. To this end, we have called for applications in three grant categories: Research and Write-Up Grant for Ph.D. Candidates, Travel Grants, and Conference Grants. We cherish the fact that our calls attracted a great number of hard-working researchers who put effort into proposing their valuable research for the grants we offered. For the first time this year, İAE-ANAMED collaboration provided accommodation and financial support to a post-doctoral researcher. Congratulations to the winner of the IAE-ANAMED Joint Fellowship.

İstanbul Research Institute (İAE) and Koç University’s Research Center for Anatolian Civilizations (ANAMED) are pleased to announce a new joint fellowship to support one post-doctoral scholar conducting research on the archaeology, architecture, art history, heritage, or history of Istanbul. YILLIK: Annual of Istanbul Studies has been indexed in the academic database TRDizin. With its 5th and 6th issues now included in TRDizin, the journal delivers original research on the historical and cultural heritage of Istanbul to the national academic community in a stronger way.
Within the scope of the protocol signed between the Suna and İnan Kıraç Foundation and the Governorship of Kahramanmaraş, the Children’s Hub activities that Suna’nın Kızları has been carrying out in Pazarcık for the past two years are being moved to the city center of Kahramanmaraş. These neighborhood-, school-, and community-based activities aim to support the protection, empowerment, and access to services of all children, especially girls.
Inviting participants of all ages to freely create, the Open Workshop turns art into a shared experience at Pera Museum. Taking place on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays between August 7 and 30, the program blends personal expression with collective creation.
