About Suna Kıraç
She had never-ending dreams, ideals longer than her lifetime.
A woman who worked hard for the growth of Koç Group, who put her heart and soul into contributing to Türkiye’s economic and social development, and who touched not only lives but also dreams: Suna Kıraç...
Suna Kıraç managed to protect all the values she gained in her childhood throughout her life. In the early years of her life, she signaled the successes she would achieve in the years to come with her determination, curiosity and energy. For example, she felt the virtue of sharing down to her bones while collecting her friends' food for children she had never met... Working in a village school in her middle school years with the ambition of becoming a teacher showed the courage she had at that age. While having deep, intellectual conversations in high school, she whispered that the real wealth was hidden in ideas. The years she worked at the Koç Group showed us how she, as a woman, challenged the male-dominated business world... She embraced educational issues to such an extent that she did not hesitate to sacrifice all the energy she had on this path. While struggling with her illness, she never stopped working and creating.
Suna Kıraç followed such a path in every period of her life that she carried those who came after her to new horizons and meaningful achievements. Although she was called "her father's daughter", as "Suna", she also pioneered the change of many lives. Throughout her 79 years of life, she thought of her work, her family and her homeland with every breath. Even though her last 20 years passed in silence, those who loved her continued to hear Suna's voice.
