As part of the collaboration, a virtual platform developed by UNICEF to increase access to supportive services will be extended to areas where Suna’s Daughters is active. This platform will enable girls to benefit from psychosocial support, educational opportunities, and mentoring services. It also aims to contribute to the prevention of child, early, and forced marriages, as well as the reduction of gender-based violence.
Ipek Kıraç, the founder of Suna’s Daughters, emphasized the importance of safe spaces for girls’ empowerment in her statement about the partnership: “This collaboration marks an important step in our commitment to empowering adolescent girls. By creating safe and supportive spaces, we aim to provide an environment where girls can express themselves freely, develop essential life skills, and build a brighter future.”
UNICEF Türkiye Representative Paolo Marchi also highlighted the importance of partnerships in advancing gender equality: “Every girl needs a safe space to learn, grow, and make her voice heard. Through this collaboration, we are taking a significant step toward ensuring that adolescent girls have access to the resources and support they need to reach their full potential.”
Suna’s Daughters and UNICEF Türkiye continue to work together to establish a comprehensive support system that strengthens the well-being and resilience of adolescent girls by combining their expertise and resources.
