Suna's Daughters Celebrated their 3rd Anniversary with a Great Community Gathering!

Suna's Daughters celebrated the 3rd anniversary of its journey with community stakeholders and supporters. At the Great Community Meeting, the work to date was evaluated, and the goals and roadmap for the next three years were discussed. 

In these three years, Suna's Daughters reached more than 10.000 children in 5 different Children's Hubs. Completed two Summer Institutes focusing on girls' empowerment together. Started implementing school, neighborhood and child-based models and programs with the Neighborhoods Supporting Children projects in Şanlıurfa and Hatay. Created the Child-Focused City Map to track children's access to services on a neighborhood basis.

Suna’nın Kızları Holds Its Ninth Major Community Gathering

At the 9th Major Community Gathering, the Suna’nın Kızları communities came together to review the past year’s outcomes and align on project plans for 2026. Participants explored new ideas and collaboration opportunities on how the model and programs co-developed with 33 civil society organizations over the past four years can further support and reinforce one another.

The Istanbul Research Institute continues to offer free guided tours of the exhibition The Photography Studio of an Adventurous Architect: Arif Hikmet Koyunoğlu 1893–1982, which sheds light on the life of one of the most unconventional architects of his time, spanning the late Ottoman and early Republican periods.
