Suna and İnan Kıraç Foundation Collections Now Available Online

All of the collection works in the Suna and İnan Kıraç Foundation Publications have been made accessible digitally. This digital opportunity provided on the occasion of the 20th foundation anniversary of the Pera Museum is a valuable resource for scientists and enthusiasts.

The Kütahya Tiles and Ceramics, Orientalist Painting and Anatolian Weights and Measures collections within the Suna and İnan Kıraç Foundation have also become accessible online on the Istanbul Research Institute website. In this way, users will be able to examine the collections with detailed search filters and conduct comprehensive research on history, archaeology and art.

In this online resource, the majority of the Anatolian Weights and Measures Collection can be seen as Hellenistic, Roman and Byzantine weights of Anatolian origin. It is a valuable resource for those curious about the changes in trade over the centuries. Thanks to the Pierre Willemart Coin Collection, which is part of the collection, users have the opportunity to examine a slice of world history.

With the Kütahya Tile and Ceramics Collection, the Kütahya tile and ceramic production tradition from the 18th century to the 20th century can be examined; with the Orientalist Painting Collection, users have the opportunity to examine the works of local and European painters, especially depicting the Ottoman world and the geography of Turkey, from the 17th century to the early 20th century.

The collections transferred to the digital platform can be examined by performing a detailed search in the library scanning system of the Istanbul Research Institute. Users can access the collections using filters such as collection name, keyword, date range or material. This digital transformation, which aims to share art and cultural heritage with a wider audience, provides an important resource for both researchers and art enthusiasts.
