İpek Kıraç and UN Women Executive Director Sima Bahous met in Istanbul

Sima Bahous, United Nations Under-Secretary-General and Executive Director of UN Women, visited Turkey in May to hold meetings with the public and private sectors, women-led civil society organizations and United Nations officials. In this context, she met with İpek Kıraç shared the current developments regarding the activities of Suna'nın Kızları and emphasized that the cooperation between the state, private sector, civil society and international organizations for girls should continue to be strengthened. 

During the meeting, the two agreed on strengthening their cooperation for the future, and Bahous evaluated Suna'nın Kızları's realization of its activities with communities coming together around common goals with the collective impact model and creating spaces for institutions to hear each other as a very important model of union of forces.

Suna’s Daughters Gather in Şanlıurfa for “The Neighborhoods Supporting Children"

Suna’s Daughters communities continue their efforts in five neighborhoods of Şanlıurfa’s Eyyübiye and Haliliye districts to establish an ecosystem that supports all children, especially girls, in every aspect. By collaborating with teachers, public institutions, and non-governmental organizations, these local communities identify barriers faced by children and take solution-oriented steps to overcome them.
